After eleven years of running the Mozaic Room
Coffeehouse, Steve Gretz and Leslie Lee are moving out of state to a
new life in western New York. As of right now, there are no plans to
continue concerts at the Mozaic Room beyond our June 2nd "Burning
the Ballroom Down" show with Brooks Williams. While some of our
volunteers were willing to continue putting in the time and effort,
the financial realities simply do not allow us to keep going at this
time.
Steve and Leslie want to thank all the volunteers for their hard
work over the years, the musicians for their inspiring performances,
and all of the audience members for coming out to support live
music. We hope you will continue to do this, by attending shows at
other Boston Area Coffeehouse (BACHA) member venues. To find out

The MOZAIC ROOM COFFEEHOUSE was established in April 1997, and has been
offering one or two concerts each month (Sept-June) of folk and acoustic music
in a smoke and alcohol-free environment ever since. After one year in
Mansfield, the MOZAIC ROOM moved to its present location--in the Avon Baptist
Church (119 N. Main St., Avon, Mass). Directions
The MOZAIC ROOM'S schedule offers music from a variety of folk traditions each
year, and features a mix of both local talent and nationally or
internationally renowned artists. Sumptuous desserts and gourmet coffees and
teas are sold on the premises, and guests sit either around tables, or in rows
of chairs, in a room that can seat up to 200 in a very relaxed, informal
atmosphere.
Run by volunteers, the MOZAIC ROOM is a venue with a social conscience. Each
year it hosts a benefit festival to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity, and
all proceeds after expenses from all other concerts go to meet the needs of
members of the Avon community, through the programs and services of the
Avon
Baptist Church.
